Can't find your own style?

There can of course be various reasons, why it seems difficult to establish ones' own style. One very common block however, even more fundamental than establishing the type of clothes to wear, is dressing, or styling ourselves based on the example of someone else, who does not have the same physical characteristics as us, giving us a very different appearance than what we aspire to.
We might have this “ideal look” we imagine for ourselves, while forgetting the current existing scene or trying to copy the outfit or style, rather than adjusting it to ourselves; as applicable to maybe our size, shape, etc. This applies to clothing, as well as accessories or our hairstyle. We may for example love the very feminine appearance of long, luscious hair, while our hair is thin and brittle, resulting in a rather scruffy appearance letting them grow long, rather than the very feminine look we are actually going for. Going for a shorter cut in that case, might look much more flattering and feminine for example. Maybe we used to have our hair long when we were younger and try to hold on to that image, while our bodies and hair structure or volume have changed. Or maybe we are simply scared of change.
The key aspect in finding and choosing ones’ style, is to really observe and see which clothing, accessories and hairstyles/cuts really emphasize our best features now.
